G-Wave 1-BOX™

G-Wave's patented technology combines BDA, Battery Back Up and Annunciator into a single box

1-BOX™ drives down the cost of ownership by up to 20% for Public Safety and DAS providers on each and every BDA or fiber system install.

G-Wave’s patented technology combines BDA, Battery Back Up and Annunciator into a single box for simplified installation and logistics across all ERCES applications.

1-BOX™ is designed, engineered and built in America!

The main benefits of the 1-BOX line include:

  • Reduced cost of ownership (up to ~20% savings per install by combining multiple functions into one device)
  • Simplified logistics and installation due to fewer separate components needed
  • Designed, engineered, and built in the U.S., supporting domestic manufacturing standards

The Three Main Types of 1-BOX Products

Below are the three core variant categories based on the wireless application / frequency they serve:

1-BOX™ 700/800 MHz BDA (Public Safety Bi-Directional Amplifier)

Application:

  • Designed to improve in-building wireless communications for Public Safety radio bands (700 / 800 MHz), often required for first responder radios.

Features:

  • Integrated bi-directional amplifier (BDA) to extend both uplink and downlink coverage
  • Built-in battery back-up (e.g., 12-hour or 24-hour options available)
  • Annunciator included in same enclosure
  • NFPA compliance features for emergency systems
  • Packaged in a single weather-resistant NEMA 4X enclosure

Benefits:

  • Improves indoor coverage for public safety radios where coverage may be weak
  • Reduces rack / cabinet complexity by combining multiple components
  • Ensures continued operation during power loss with battery support

1-BOX™ UHF BDA

Application:

  • Used where UHF band communications are needed (380–512 MHz), common for many first responder and two-way radio systems.

Features:

  • Bi-directional amplification optimized for UHF frequencies
  • Single integrated enclosure with battery back-up and annunciator
  • Designed to meet NFPA and relevant in-building system requirements
  • Available gain and passband options tailored to UHF needs

Benefits:

  • Enhances UHF radio signal inside structures, critical for emergency communications
  • Modular, single device simplifies deployment and testing
  • Battery backup increases reliability during outages

1-BOX™ Fiber Remote (700/800 MHz & UHF Fiber Remote Units)

Application:

  • These versions serve as remote units connected via fiber from a head-end BDA system — good for larger facilities requiring distributed coverage.

Features:

  • Fiber-transported signal remote unit for extending coverage far from main head-end
  • Supports 700/800 MHz or UHF, with different uplink/downlink gain options
  • Comes with integrated battery backup and annunciator in one enclosure
  • NEMA 4X enclosure for rugged environments

Benefits:

  • Ideal for multi-building campuses or large open-area sites
  • Provides flexible deployment without needing coax infrastructure
  • Maintains integrated backup and safety features at remote points
