JMA Wireless DAS Remotes

JMA DAS Remote Unit

A DAS remote is an active device that connects to the head-end unit (or master unit) via fiber or coaxial cable. It converts the signal from the head-end into RF power for antennas in its zone. Essentially, it acts as a local amplifier and distribution point for a specific area.

JMA Wireless remotes have a proven record of industry-leading performance, even in tough environments. Our RUs offer a high peak-to-average power ratio, ensuring high output power with complex modulation that is shared among operators.

Applications

  • Position in Architecture:
    • Head-End Unit: Interfaces with the donor signal (from base station or repeater)
    • Fiber/Coax Link: Connects head-end to remotes
    • Remote Units: Installed throughout the building or venue to serve different floors or zones
    • Antennas: Connected to remotes for final RF distribution
  • Purpose:
    • Boosts and distributes signals to antennas in its coverage zone
    • Maintains signal quality over long distances by converting optical signals back to RF
